Do you have local feed stores to compete with? That's an issue in my area. Our local feed stores have chicks all spring/early summer, and again in the fall. They sell sexed pullets in the $3 each range, depending on breed. That makes it hard to compete with, especially when you're selling straight run. I've found I do better with sex links, so I can guarantee gender, or raising them up until I can sex them around 6ish weeks. Or, having something more exotic/ornamental does better as a straight run around here.
You'll just have to feel out your local market. I would start around $3 each for a 2 week old straight run chick and see what your response is. You may need to drop the price some, or you may be able to raise it.
If you have the space, raising some up to point of lay is a nice way to go. I get $20 for a point of lay pullet easily.
