From what I understand from threehorses posts is that the first time you worm a bird that may have a large infestation, you want to get rid of some of them on the first treatment and the rest with a more powerful treatment. I think the idea communicated was that if you flush all of the worms (on a heavy infestation) at once, they could get blocked up. I think threehorses does two single treatments of a broad spectrum wormer during a year, but with a new bird on their first worming, you go easy with the wazine/ivermectin combo.
