Want to make sure I worm for the proper parasite

From what I understand from threehorses posts is that the first time you worm a bird that may have a large infestation, you want to get rid of some of them on the first treatment and the rest with a more powerful treatment. I think the idea communicated was that if you flush all of the worms (on a heavy infestation) at once, they could get blocked up. I think threehorses does two single treatments of a broad spectrum wormer during a year, but with a new bird on their first worming, you go easy with the wazine/ivermectin combo.

Be aware that ivermectin is not approved for use in poultry (in the US) and if you use it you cannot legally sell the eggs or meat from those chickens.
