Want to raise a few ducks for my friend... which are friendliest?

So my friend lost her two mallards this year to a dog that got onto her land and killed them. She cried for weeks, wants more ducks and I would like to incubate some for her. She has a beautiful pond and a duck house. Any ideas what ducks would be a good choice for incubation? We live in a really cold part of the country (Canadian Border) so do I want mallards again for her? They need to be pretty hardy.

I'm in love with my muscovys. They are the first ducks I have had and they are so extremely easy to take care of.

I also suggest Muscovies, they're total puppy dogs when raised with lots of human interaction. Double check with your friend or find a way to see if she likes them first...as crazy as it sounds some people do think they're ugly, lol.

ETA: My White Crested ducks(or crested pekins) were also very friendly & super cute!
