Hi everyone.....
I recall a post on here several months back that contained a lot of good information about how to find egg farms in your area where you can rescue the battery hens. I remember one being near us, but could not do it at the time. I have googled for a list of the egg producers and such for our area, but am having trouble relocating that information. Spring is finally coming, DH is building me a new, fantastic coop, and I feel the time is right to finally adopt some rescues! I just don't know how to go about it! I live in northern Wisconsin. Can anyone help? Thanks!!

But be aware that not ALL egg farms are listed on there. You might call a few of the farms close to you and ask.
When I looked the closest one to me listed was about 45 mins north. Come to find out, from talking to broiler "farmers", there are several that are close to me, they just aren't listed.

Goodluck!!!

Yes, I could have sworn there was one in a city called Cameron, only about 40 minutes from me....but it's not listed. All the others are too far:(
