I would use the colors Mage said, only do it this way, and I will explain why
chocolate: will give you chocolate and lilac babys, plus what ever is behind the 2 rabbits for color And the correct color eyes dove grey, sometimes lilac colored eyes.
Black: will hide the lilac black is dominant color BUT if the color gets too light ( an it will eventually) black is introduced to darken it back to the original color wrong color eyes brown
Blue: Blue will enhance the lilac color being a dilute of black as is chocolate. but in the same litter you will get blues and lilac and usually a black. correct eye color being dove grey except for the black which will have brown eyes.
I saw mention of a Blue Eyed White, Only do this breeding IF you want sports, those are rabbits with white markings and usually half brown half blue eyes, pretty yes but it can mess with breeding's for years to come.
Eventually properly bred then you will get a Pure Blue eyed white rabbit, but if you want to breed Blue eyed whites you really should start with a nice pair of whites, then introduce a solid color in to enhance the genetics.(out crosses).
When it gets a little lighter out I will go out and take a picture of a BEW Buck they are very attractive, there is something about those bright blue eyes that many pet owners go for.
Lion Heads are not a recognized breed as yet , the standards as they are written is very hard to achieve and they cant seem to get the final Ok from the standards committee.
Well unfortunatley my options are somewhat limited. There is a red eyed white available, which from what you mentioned I should stay away from. Secondly there is a Sable. Would that be an okay option? The breeder I got Pixie from has a BEW rex and a BEW lionhead. They truly are stunning!
http://london.kijiji.ca/c-pets-othe...AN-MEET-IN-LONDON-SUN-NOV-22nd-W0QQAdIdZ17031 These are the 2 bucks I have a chance to get. If I drive all the way out there(over an hr's drive) Should I grab the doe as well?
What do you think which buck?
