Wanted: Any Chickens (MO)

I am looking for a few chickens to add to my empty coop
I am getting 4 Barred Rocks next week,but would like a few more chickens
I dont care if they are pure or mixed.
I am about 60 miles North of St. Louis, near Troy Missouri.
I cant travel to far.

I live about 60 miles south of ST louis. But I will be going to troy to pick up some goats in a few months.

I have lots of chickens.

Don't know which ones will be laying by then.

Hopefully Mottled Cochins, BLRW, B/B/S and White Silkies, EE's, Buff Brahmas.

And lots of the plain layers breeds. I'm leaving for work. But if your interested let me know and we can work something out.

I have a couple of batches of mixed chicks but I live pretty far from you; St. Louis is a couple hours of driving one way for me. But, I wish you luck - hope you get some good ones!

I would help too. Except I live in East Central Kansas. A bit too far. I would even give them (mutts) to you so that we have room for some banties that my daughter wants to get.
I have been in a habit of giving away young laying hens just so that we can hatch and buy different ones. I can only keep so many of them.

I hope you get lucky and find someone closer.

Swaps will be starting next month in waterloo IL. if thats not to far for you. Usually a lot of chickens there at decent prices if you get there early. theres also a lot of other animals that you might be interested in. I can't wait myself and hoping my npip testing is complete by then!

You may want to also check into animal shelters, if there are any close. If you leave word with them, they may contact you. Animal shelters get a variety of animals.
