wanted: Barred Rocks in SK

Hi there

I am planning springtime and pondering good additions to our family hens for egg production.

I would like some Barred Rocks, and I have found two hatcheries that ship near me (Anstey and Berg's), and neither offer straight Barred Rocks.

Does anyone know where I could get some Barred Rocks, or could anyone point me to a supplier/hatcher who might be able to help me come spring? I am in NE Saskatchewan.

Rochester in Alberta would likely be your closest option for barred rocks although their catalog says they only have them in August and they are unsexed. I don't know of any other hatcheries in the west so if that doesn't work you might have to resort to Ontario hatcheries like Frey's hatchery or Performance poultry and hope that air shipping can be worked out.
