Wanted Black Cooper Marans and Olive egg layers

I am looking for either pullets or chicks (sexed hens only). Tractor Supply offers something they're calling Sapphire Olive Egger chicks but I'm not sure if that's a correct breed name though. If anyone has any avab. please let me know.

Black Copper Marans are a recognized breed. I don't believe Olive Eggers are a recognized breed. A bit like an EE is a mix to get those pastel eggs, the OE are also a mix to get the olive colored egg.

Where are you located? You can add this to your profile, and people may have suggestions on where to buy. Are you wanting mail order or to pick up in person?

FWIW, here is the link to NPIP to search by state for breeders and hatcheries: http://www.poultryimprovement.org/statesContent.cfm

Here are all the Marans by stock code used on the NPIP site:

And here is the stock code for Olive Egger:

Maybe you'll be able to find a breeder or hatchery that will have what you want!

Thanks for the link. I found several breeders close to me...:love:love
ETA: Is there a list somewhere to decipher all the codes of birds available per breeder. On the site perhaps. Thanks for you help very useful.

Yes. On the site. Use link above. To the left of the map, you will see a link to stock codes. Can use alphabetical or numerical lists. You’ll see that they list Turkeys, ducks, chickens, bantams, meat production, and a few other categories. Categories are separated by that first letter. R is regular chicken breeds, etc.

Glad to see more people using the stock codes after I shared them :)

The NPIP site is really helpful! I had looked it up many months ago when I kept seeing references to NPIP. Thats when I discovered the search by state and the breed codes when checking out the website. Still takes some time to weed through the lists, but so helpful when trying to find a certain breed.
