I'm in the Ocala, FL area (Citrus County) and need a broody hen to sit on some White Orp eggs for me. My incubator didn't do so well and I need to iron out the kinks. Would anyone have a broody hen for sale,
    Rent or borrow?

    Please PM me. Thanks :)

Advice: Try to get a good broody orpinton that way when you are done with her hatching, you will have a laying chicken to add to your flock

Brooding is a hormonal change brought about by contentment and health and light conditions. Moving any hen while broody will most likely shut down her elevated hormones and she won't be broody again until she is settled in.
