I am looking to buy a calico silkie rooster or a calico silkie chick that could potentially turn into a calico silkie rooster. I have yet to find someone who is selling calico silkies so if you are, please let me know by PM or replying. Also, I may be looking for a buff silkie rooster as well and possibly a splash or blue silkie hen. Mostly, I just want a colorful silkie flock that would produce a variety of colored chicks. I do not care if these silkies are show quality; in fact I would prefer that they weren't so that I could as much of a mix of colors as possible. If anybody has any silkie "mutts", I would be very interested in buying them as well. Thank you! Please respond soon.

Can anyone enlighten me on how to make calico Silkies PLEASE? Saw these on the Internet and really have to have some.

On Facebook if you search Designer Poultry by Briana the picture on the left is her bird. She no longer is breeding them she sold the flock(not sure who bought them). If you read back a few years into her post she used blue splash with red leakage. I am not sure how long she worked at getting the pattern though. You can bet that whoever bought this flock when they announce hatching eggs available there will be a long waiting list as these pictures show up on every silkie FB group I follow at least monthly.

I think splash to splash, I cant remember now its been awhile. I think it gets more complicated than that though otherwise everyone would have them. It probably all came down to she put the right two birds together to get the leakage in all the right places and kept line breeding to improve.
