I got that assortment from Meyers several years ago. They sent several different breeds: buff orpingtons, barred rock, white rock, leghorns, black sex links. They were nice chicks and turned into nice hens. I think I got two roosters in the bunch. I think they send whatever they have in surplus on the week on shipment.

Desperately seeking a new home for my Banty Mottled Cochin. He's about 3 1/2 months old and is very pretty boy. But he is also a bully to my standards. He's fine around me, my kids, even my two Chi's that go into the coop and pen with me and they're smaller than he is. He just needs some banty girls of his own (he is nice with mine) I just don't have the means to build another coop for him at this time. FREE

ETA: I took him out of the coop and am letting him run around the yard with my Bassett Hound, he started crowing so now Boomhauer my Bassy is howling.

That's funny Cara. You should hear our crow off each morning. Tyrone starts it out, and Slick answers and there is another crow in there too, but I'm not sure if it's Brutus or Levi. Now that the 2 marans are gone, it's a lot quiter. They were very fine crowers.
