Is there anyone out there that has Malay chickens for sale? Either eggs, hatchlings, or even adult birds? We are looking for some and after almost a year of looking, have yet to locate anyone anywhere nearby that has any.... all seem to be central states or further East. We would like to find some that we could come get in person rather than ship, but at this point are willing to take anything! Call Tracy at 541-297-5455 if you have some or maybe even a lead on where some could be obtained. Thanks much!

I didn't see any for sale, but on the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy they had some information on them with the name of a professor at Oklahoma State University. Maybe you could milk him for some info on where to get some. I'm thinking of getting some nankins, so I've been doing some looking at hatcheries and such as well. I was thinking of Malays at first, but they may be too agressive for our little backyard flock.
Good luck with your search! Let me know how you make out!

I have two pairs of adults available and several well started birds from this spring. My pairs are red/black/wheaton hen (traditional) and orange/black/white spangled. They are beatiful birds, the hens will go broody and fertility is very high. The birds are all one year old.
I wish I was closer- shipping would be more than $50 per bird on the adults. My red/black rooster is around 30" tall.
I just broke my pairs up, but could put them back together if you really want eggs.
Let me know if I can help.

Here are a couple of my birds if you are interested. Both roosters pictured are under a year old. The red and black bird is a Shamo and the pumpkin a Malay. My red/black Malay is quite a bit larger than either.

Pumpkin bird looks more Brazilian than Malay to me, where did you get them from?
