Wanted- Pigs in West Michigan

They are called "shoats" up to about 30lbs. You can buy them at the hog auction in Cassopolis held every week, or check your "PennySaver" newspaper under livestock for someone who might be closer. They used to run $30- $50 each. But read up on hogs a little bit. They are really only economical if you have a lot of green waste to feed them. Purina Hog Chow is expensive and they go thru it quickly. Plus, they donʻt smell like petunias either.

If your anywhere near Ionia (mid Ionia County) look up Larry Curtis on Portland Rd. (I think he's actually in Lake Odessa, maybe Ionia though) He's got a hog farm and supplies all sizes, right from incubator to adult. Good Luck
