I have tried several of the recipes on the 'net for Polvorones (which is what I think they are called) but no recipe has worked out like the cookies I buy at the grocery bakery...HEB.
Apparently, I am not the only one looking for this elusive recipe because there are several requests floating on the Web.
Any help??? I'm pretty sure the dough similar to a sugar cookie but made with shortening and powdered sugar....
Oh, and these are not the Mexican Wedding Cakes which are little nut balls with a shortbread like dough and then rolled in powdered sugar....but those are good too! Very pretty at Christmas if you color the dough red and green before baking.
