I live in Maine and I'm looking for a mature Rhode Island Red or New Hampshire Red Rooster.

Free is always nice, but I'm will to pay a couple bucks and shipping (if necessary) of course.

I have a gorgeous pure breed Rhode Island Red that you can have for free. He is 15 months old. I love him but he's too hard on my hens. I don't have enough so he 'services' each a few times a day. I live in Merrimack New Hampshire. Not a bad drive if you are in southern Maine. PM me if you like.

How old is he? Is he still available?

I was about to give up on this (especially since someone already stood me up) and order one with some other birds this spring...

If you are interested I have a 19 week old Rhode Island Red Rooster. His name is Wilson and I just listed him in the the re-homing section of the forum. And coincidently I will be in Maine on August 1/2 (we live in CT) so perhaps I could drop him off. Wilson is a handsome rooster and he comes running when you call him but he is also vocal right now. We hatched eggs and ended up with two roosters - we wish we could keep both of them but from everything we have read it doesn't seem like a good idea (although both roosters get along fine right now).
