Have you ever been to the local Atwoods store? They should be getting their shipment of chicks in March.

Then you can get the chicks with the wing clips and be certain they are pullets (except for the occasional slip).

The lady that works in the pet section all the time told me they'll be getting their chickens around the 20th of feb. I like her, she's real knowledgeable. But my room mate got chickens from them last year and they were mixed. They didn't have just RIR's. They were nice before the neighbors dog broke through the fence...
