Sadly, I dont think it'll ever be like how it was before. The world has gone mad.
Hopefully everyone will calm down after the elections.
People will still be angry no matter how the elections go though

Even before Covid the world had drastically changed from what it used to be.

Thought of @R2elk when feeding the birds earlier this evening. I shut the gate to the pen and thought one of my Columbian Wyandotte was running along the fence behind the small coop. Not a bird...it was a skunk in there with me about three feet away! Backed out of the pen, opened the gate and tossed a scoop of water at it to encourage it to run out the gate. Whew! A close call! Won't be going to the pens at 7:30 pm again without my pistol.

I make lye soap with hog lard and fine ashtray pumice...like Lava soap. Lye is tricky...if used before curing, it really burns.

. Played that and both dogs came running to see what was in the living room! Lolrotf!

At first I saw those legs and thought it was a lawn ornament. Then it moved. Never mind. That poor bird can barely bend down to the ground!

That's very true.

I remember when CA wasnt quite as crazy. We didn't leave the base often but even then it wasnt what it is now.

I think what this world needs is a few more rednecks

Agree. More rednecks and less sheep.

The people sheep. The newer generations that want to be lead around blindly by these ideas of a utopian world.

I "plant" praying mantis seed cases in the garden and various fruit trees. I rarely see any but I know they are doing their job from the lack of harmful insects.

I think that's a good idea to add more to our ecosystem.... Thanks Elk.

No cats in my house (ever). With all the spiders in here, what are a few mantises. I even have pics of a spider-mantis confrontation. The spider won.

I concur, would you be willing to find a pics of this confrontation - sometime this week?
