Elk?!?!?

Oh shizzle! That's what I get for skimming. @R2elk , Happy, happy, happy birthday to you! I loved this one. 😂🥰
This has already been established, I am not a Virgo. Today is not my birthday. Check my profile page. There is no birthday listed. I do not actually exist and am nothing more than a figment of your imagination.

Seriously this is @sealer39 trying to cause trouble. It is not my birthday. When my birthday actually happens, no one will know. I don't do birthdays and have not for many decades.

The first time I read that book I did almost nothing else until it was finished... and I've never been a fast reader. 🤷‍♀️ Not my fault. Tolkein is to blame...
If you want a book that takes forever to read, I have the unabridged version of Don Quixote by Cervantes. I believe I finished it but I cannot swear to it.

Okay...I'm still behind...
On another note...I know this is random, random and I'm not talking about you all curling or straightening your hair, but did any of you all have your hair change as you got older? Not color either...
My blonde hair is now gray hair and almost white. Baby fine and lots of it still isn't thick.

You know that stuff spreads, right??? Never scratch it; never even pull on your socks over it. You'll have it all over your body before you know it.
Only if the socks haven't been washed after walking in the woods. Only the oil from the plant is what spreads it. Or a pet that has been around the plant and you pet that critter.

I think calamine is past its' time. In its' day, it was the "best thing" around for poison ivy, but there are better options, now. It still works well for mild sunburn, though ... if you can deal with the chalky pink everywhere!
Remember IvyDry? Best is hydrogen peroxide.

And a word to the wise ... DO NOT burn poison ivy in your woodfires. The urushiol on the plants (the irritant that causes the rash) can be inhaled and the resulting inflammation of the lungs can kill you! Learned this one the hard way when SD attended a bonfire and ended up in the ER with it in her lungs ... NASTY!
Me too. Walked in the in-laws yard as they were burning brush. Inhaled the smoke and spent time in the ER.
