Where would I find that information? Do they really lie? isn’t that illegal here? Cause it says it was bottled at the spring source?? Wait a second..... BOTTLED at the spring source doesn’t necessarily mean the water is from that spring!?!? So not a lie!? Clever wording! it does say they plant trees though as part of some “environmental restoration” thing. Not that that makes a difference though with the plastic they use

In all seriousness though, these were $1 each at Dollar Tree and I just needed water to go with my lunch. I figured it was a good deal and I could drink out of the same one all day and refill them when I get home. I’m not gonna be near anywhere where I can get tap water today. When I’m home I try to drink out of the fridge.

I understand about being out and about. I'd buy water, too, (though I usually bring it with me). I don't believe in human-caused global warming but I do believe in litter and air pollution, so I try to avoid unnecessarily adding to either of those.

About bottled water, though. A lot of it (most of it) is "from a municipal source." Words don't always *legally* mean quite what they mean to ordinary people lacking in legalese super-liar powers. If I buy bottled water, I only buy distilled or reverse osmosis water. That's just the water (unless they add back minerals for taste).

The designation "spring water" doesn't really mean anything at all. And source? Their source is most likely a great big water line running into the bottling plant. They're not down on their knees dipping it out of a clear blue pool with rocks and alpine tundra all round and an eagle flying overhead in a cloudless sky. Did you know that "raw, unheated" honey doesn't mean it's raw, nor that it hasn't been heated. Not sure how that passes muster, but apparently there's some workaround to make it legally true according to a certain definition.

They dont want to make us feel better ... they want us to be fooled into thinking that their product is worth the extra money.

When I looked it up it said there were requirements to be able to be labeled spring water? But maybe not. Idk. It said it had to come from either the natural source where it came up or had to be pumped up from the underground source. Said mountain and the other words mean nothing. Although even “spring”, some of them are only like 1/3 or less of “spring” and the rest rap or whatever. Some probably have no spring water. Said only like half or less are actually from springs.

And true! That Fiji one is probably a huge scam.
