I have an aquaintance that is looking for a pet chicken for her brother who is a 4H member that wants to show chickens. She is going to give it to him for his birthday. They are looking for something "special" for him. I would like to find him a nice bird that he has a realativly good chance of doing well with at the county fair. I would prefer not to pay too much for the bird, but I will consider it if I need to.
I normally give birds to interested youth, but my breeds are a little flightly for a child his age. The only birds I have to give away right now are Sumatra bantam roosers. In times like this I try to find a bird at a swap or through other poultry friends, but they asked later that usual and I am having a difficult time finding him something.
Personally I would prefer a Cochin or Silkie. If you can help me please email me, or PM if you don't want to email. I also would prefer someone closer to this area (Outagamie county).
