Great ideas!! I love those glass window blocks w/the lights and bows.Ive also see something similar with a clear glass lamp base.I shop all year round for bargains and put them in my "gift box" . I do make alot of baskets with a "theme" for what that person likes. 1..For kids you can do a "movie" basket;block buster gift card, pocorn and some misc candy 2..R&R basket for a baby sitter, friend or neighbor;candle, wine glass, small bottle of single serve wine and a candy dish w/some chocolate and bubble bath. 3 salsa basket w.chips and margarietta glasses..4.Teens;gas card, emergency roadside kit (they love the movie basket too)5.coffee nut;coffee mugs, different coffees and biscotti's. 6.breakfast lover; egg poacher, jam, biscuit mix or flavored syrups and waffle mixes.7 garden lover;spade, gloves, hat, stepping stone.8.Italian;spagetti noodles, homemade sauce, french bread and homemade garlic butter, wine and those italian cookies..9.wine lover;glasses, cork screw, sausages n cheese wedges, crackers and of course wine..10.Men;;home depot card, remote w.velcro on it and the arm chair cover, this old house subscription...lol.Those are some of the baskets Ive made and got raves abt.Hope that helps.I usually tried to make a basket with a gift card for the teacher, mail lady etc.I was told they appreciated the gift cards for gas/groc.You can go as fancy and inexspensive. You can use gift bags decorated by the kids VS the baskets. Also;walgreens has the calenders that you can put a photo on each month. Grandma's love those with a different funny face each month. You can also write all the g-kids b-days on it for the whole new year.
