Another inexpensive EASY gift for people with kids is to put all the dry ingredients for pancakes in a mason jar and put the material under the cap piece and screw on the lid. This I actually do for myself...LOL. I like the look of mason jars on the counter and then its all right there for the morning.

Another thing that the kids do is make snow globes with baby food jars. I went to Family Dollar and bought the mini people, etc for the mini cities. Then I glue them to the cap. The kids add the food coloring and glitter (after they pick out who gets what figurine) and then you screw on the cap, turn it upside down and you have a snowglobe. All the granparents and aunties and uncles loved the gift that was made by my kids. And it made the kids feel special too.

I just saw someone mention teachers, etc. For them and the bus driver, I made a basket with a mini lysol, homeade candles and a hand painted sign that I had the kids make.

For bird lovers (wild birds) you can make pine cone feeders out od peanutbutter and seed mix. Collect pine cones and smear some PB in the gaps, roll on seeds, repeat until full. Attach a string and ribbon to hang outside.
For friends that are dog lovers I bake dog biscuits and use dog themed or bone shaped cookie cutters and use plain white boxes (the ones you get at stores when you buy gift sweaters etc. and stamp paw pronts on
Last year my friends daughter came over to make a personalized glass jar for her dad, he loves pistachios....Michael's sells glass etching kits and supplies that are fairly easy to use but not by small kids or without adultsupervision as they use a chemical for etching...It was easy to do and looked great. I suggested for this year to reuse some pretty small bottles and jars to put home made bathoil and lotion in for her mom

Silly. You just made fudge sauce for ice cream. Bottle and label as such. I made a five pound batch just that way once. Everyone thought I was so talented.

I am going to be really frugal this year. Everybody is getting double strawberry wine this year. I am making 6 gallons and it has cost me about $25. To be fair, I got a super duper deal on the strawberries. Full price would have been double.

You can make Snowman face ornaments out of round cotton pads, fabric stiff'ner, paint and a sock.

You use the stiff'ner on the cotton and let it dry. It should puff up a bit. Then you take a sock, I used a christmas sock but any will do, and you cut the toe part off enough to make a little stocking cap for the head, then you cut off another strip for the scarf. Hot glue those on. Paint the face and attach a ribbon for hanging.

Oh, this is a cute idea too! Makes a beaded lapel pin.

Here's another one...I think the star is just glued on. It's a kit so no directions. It's at http://www.party902.com/beaded-chri....html?osCsid=a4a33837b5997ccf505029ced2baf8da

Homemade cookies! If you want to buy something, how about a Christmas ornament that reflects that person's interests? Hallmark has really great ones!

This is the best fudge recipe i have ever tried. Make sure that you use real butter, not margarine.

KAHLUA FUDGE

1 1/2 cups sugar
7 oz jar of marshmallow crème
2/3 cup evaporated milk
¼ cup butter
¼ cup Kahlua
¼ tsp salt
2 cups of semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup of milk chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla

Line an 8 inch square pan with foil

In a 2 quart sauce pan combine sugar, marshmallow crème, evaporated milk, butter and Kahlua. Bring to a rapid boil. Stir constantly and boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in all of the chocolate. Stir in vanilla. Pour into the foil-lined pan and refrigerate until hardened.
