Wanting to breed lots of little chickens!

If you want to have quality birds, focus on just one or two breeds in one color pattern. For example, I breed Modern Game Bantams in Brown Red and Lemon Blue (both crow wing patterns and therefore can be bred together), and I also breed Old English Game Bantams in BBRed, Blue Red, and black and blue Golden Duckwing (all duckwing patterns and thus can be bred together). But that's not much of a hatchery. It's hard to have quality and quantity at the same time, but if you try hard enough I'm sure you can do it.

Hi! My suggestion would be to pick a few bantam breeds *you think you'd like most to look at*.

There are so many breeds to chose from.
Let your personality choose breeds and colors.

Here's a great way to turn off a 'new chicken-keeper'. My 'show-chicken-bought-from-a-breeder' doesn't lay eggs!

I just sent a quad of 'priceless' birds back to their owner because they have laid very few eggs and the hatchlings are unthrifty and never make it past 4 wks. I've tried every tip and trick I've ever read and still couldn't get chicks past 4 wks.
