I was catching up - didn't realize they were invasive, but I still wouldn't have been able to kill them :/ lol would have probably just adopted them (if release wasn't an option) so I could keep a watchful eye and keep them away from other animals lol.... I couldn't do the kill. Also, they didn't have anything personal against you - just in their nature to kill.
Sad thing though - one time I set up humane traps for rats... went on vacation and forgot to take the traps down and came back and the rats we dead in the traps.... so I've accidentally killed before lol
I think adopted one of those wild and grown would not have went too well.I was catching up - didn't realize they were invasive, but I still wouldn't have been able to kill them :/ lol would have probably just adopted them (if release wasn't an option) so I could keep a watchful eye and keep them away from other animals lol.... 100% agreeKeeping them as pets would be cruel, they are wild animals. being invasive and killing pets, best choice is the cull
I think that killing is more cruel - you can make a pretty neat setup that mimics their needs in the wild, give them full bellies, protection, and love. I think if given the choice, they'd choose that over death by drowning.... but that's just my opinionKeeping them as pets would be cruel, they are wild animals. being invasive and killing pets, best choice is the cull

Again, we're both stating opinions here.. we will never agree, so better agree to disagree, mateI don't think so. They will never be comfortable with you, they will never be as enriched as they would be in the wild. They wont get to roam free like they used to. They'd become depressed.
I'm guessing meep and peep are your chickens..... how would you feel towards the animal that killed them if it did happen??? Would you keep it in a cage and feed it more chicken???I think that killing is more cruel - you can make a pretty neat setup that mimics their needs in the wild, give them full bellies, protection, and love. I already said it was really sad about your birds, but the ferrets didn't have anything against your chickens - it was instinctI'm guessing meep and peep are your chickens..... how would you feel towards the animal that killed them if it did happen???
