Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to our flock. A lot of us were lurkers before joining. :o) Which area of the Philippines are you from? I have some good friends that live in Southern Leyte and Biliran Island and have spent some time in the Vasayas. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

Thanks. She was the first hen of the lot. That was taken before she started laying eggs though. Now she has more of a "motherly" look. lol.

I'm from Central Luzon. Suburban Area. Already populated here so there's not really that much space for chickens. However, my yard somehow became some sorta "nature reserve" where butterflies go to lay eggs. I'm one of the few people who actually has plants in their yards. lol.

There's also a family of Maya Birds (a specie that used to be really common in the Phils.) Their mother moved in a while back, then she died in the storm. Her kids feed off of my chicken's leftovers though. . . And somehow, something tells me they think they're chickens as well. (Based on their behavior patterns, especially on how they "fight". Not a real fight though but perhaps they thought the two roosters were playing and that it may have looked like fun to them.

Thanks.

I was guessing signing up was way better than just lurking around forever. And if I was gonna stop lurking and register eventually, why not do it now? Hehehe.
