new to this myself but come from a long line of classy rednecks and high class hillbillies... I have 2 daughters, 8 and 4, and the oldest has talked me into looking into chickens for our place.. I'm outdoorsy, have raised and butchered my own pigs, hunt during the winter and fish all year round.. getting into the sustainable living lifestyle and always loved knowing where my food came from.. hope to have enough chickens for eggs and some meat occassionaly... all suggestions are welcome and I will offer any opinions on many topics that I can.. I have done a lot of stuff over the years and enjoy the satisfaction of "a job well done"... thank you and howdy to all
