I was looking on ebay and found this. http://cgi.ebay.com/Baby-Chick-Warm...ryZ66905QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I thought i was cool. It would be easy to make. It probably does not use as much power as a big ole heat lamp. And no worry of fires!

I don't know anything about parrots. They may be hard to brood. It might be a good "sick chick hospital brooder" too.

Problem is, it's all one temp. I like my chicks to cool off when they go to the feeder/waterer and then come back to the red bulb to warm up.

I've wondered why people can't use aquarium heaters to keep their waterers from freezing. They're under ten bucks and are made to be submersed.

Never gets that cold here.
