I tried to cut it, and it was like a think membrane of a soft shell egg. Not much inside.
It looks like the membrane but also perhaps a lot of intestinal lining.
Can you take a better look at the white thing on the top left of the photo to see if it is a roundworm.
 
Thank you...take a toothpick or something and spread the white bit out a little...see if it stays attached or comes apart.
 
I don't think its a roundworm, but its mixed with all the othe stuff i cant truly tell.
Have you ever dewormed your flock or had to treat for coccidiosis?


Now that she has passed this I am curious to see if she starts laying normal eggs.

I am wondering if this is just a new layer type glitch...her needing to work the kinks out of her system.
 
Im not an educator so just throwing a guess out but I believe it is a lash egg with maybe some "extra bits" attached . Whatever it may be its definitely a laying issue and I dont think theres a whole lot you can do to help. Watch out for swelling in the belly "astites" and you can drain that but it will just give you a little more time with her. IF this is the problem I am sorry.
