Nightpaw walked into Cinderpelt's den. "What will you have me do?" she asked.

The old cat thought for a moment and then meowed."Nightpaw;would you help me gather some herbs to make a concoction for Bramblepaw? He has a stomach ache." With that the pair walked out of the steamy den and out into the shrubby camp. "These are Mint. That is what we need." Commented Cinderpelt.

before Nightpaw had time for any questions Cinderpelt went on; "Mint is especially good for tummy aches like bramble claw. That is enough. Let's go now and take 'em to Brambleclaw."

Firestar slunk down the passage-way and into the dim but cheerful nursery. Shadowfire sat erect but tired shone through the exuberance in her eyes. The two kits crawled playfully around and occasionally bumped into each other. Nightkit already took his first wobbly steps but snowkit seemed a little delayed. "Hello." meowed firestar after he made sure the coast was clear of Nightpaw.
