Thornkit snuggled into Shadetail's belly and started to suckle. She fell into a dark and deep sleep; Shadetail's scent drifted over her and she dreamed. Dreamed of being a leader. The next morning, she found herself still huddled into Shadetail's belly. She thought that all of what happened last night was all just a dream. It was not. Her father left her, Her brother died from foxes, and her mother truly did die cause of her father tearing Autunmleaf into half. The thought lingered in her brain, and she started to cry.

Shadetail gently rasped her tongue over Thornkit's head. "You're okay, little one," she murmured softly.

Crystalsight walked out of the warrior den and yawned.She looked around camp.

She looked up at Shadetail and blinked gratefully. Thornkit looked outside the nursery and saw Darkstripe with Crystalsight and wondered, Is that what true love looks like? She pushed the thought away. "I don't need love, I just need to serve this clan." she thought aloud.

Shadetail trotted out of the nursery. She came back a few seconds later with a plump mouse. "Here, little one. Eat up."
