Silverstripe nodded, showing them around. "That's the medicine den, and Maplestar's den. She's our leader," Silverstripe explained. A brown tabby she-cat came to Silverstripe's side. "This is my apprentice, Nettlepaw."

"Hi!" mewed Nettlepaw.

"And over there's the nursery," Silverstripe said. "You kits will be staying there, until you reach the age of six moons."

"Hi!" Bristlekit replied.
Sandkit stayed silent, memorizing where everything was.

Treekit mews. "Can someone adopt me."

Windtail trotted out. "Poor thing!" she mewed, licking his back fur. "Are you lost?"

OakBerry was out hunting but she couldn't seem to find anything.Grumbling she jumped int a tree and layed down on a branch

What's wrong?" frowned Mapleshade. "I know that Specklefur's gone... but, will that delay their apprenticeship?

"Yes. I'm fairly confident that their mother would want to be here... and also that they would like her here." Sagestar snapped, then settled down. "First I need to find them mentors." she went on, drawing a paw over one ear in a calming gesture. "Do you know of anyone who wants to be one?"
Mapleshade drew back. "Blackfrost, Smokewhisker, and I'm pretty sure Brackenheart."
"Good. All are good warriors." Sagestar nodded, a thoughtful look in her mis-matched colored eyes. "Maybe Thistleclaw as well." she gave a satisfied nod.

Patch sat on his owners fence, a scowl on his face. His twolegs had given him a collar..... with a bell. "Aurgh! Now I'm never going to be able to sneak through the territories!" he hissed.

Sagestar rose from her nest. "I'm going to lead a patrol along the border." she decided and padded outside.
