Smokewhisker suppressed a sigh. "Yes." He went outside and began organizign the patrol.

Meanwhile, Ebonykit left again, searching for her father again. She didn't know how close Shadowtail was, or come to think of it, that he was there at all.

Sagestar jumped down from her den and looked over the cats who would be going. Then she turned to look for Specklefur's kits.

Dustkit and Lionkit scrambled from the nursery, and rammed into the leader. They crouched down. "Oh! We're sorry!" Lionkit squealed, then opened his mouth to tell her what happened. "We've already got a patrol looking for your mother." she looked around for the two she-kits. "Where are your sisters?" she asked.
