~Warriors RP II~

Quote: Lionkit's fluffy tail twitched with excitement. "Mama.... papa wanted to see you.." he whispered in a tiny voice. Dustkit, who seemed to have lost all traces of his aggression, beamed and nodded emphatically.
Specklefur's ears lifted in interest. She rose to her paws, "we'll let him know I'm home somehow," she whispered. She looked around and made sure no one would see her leave.
Lionkit started to purr softly. He was eager to see his father. Dustkit's tail fluffed and stood straight up as he grinned happily.
Specklefur sniffed carefully, making sure no one saw her or her kits leave. Then, she slunk out carefully, heading to Fourtrees. He probably wouldn't be there, but she had to check.
Dustkit and Lionkit scampered after her, purring and waving their tails happily.
Specklefur searched around for him. When she didn't see him, she left a scent mark, so that when he was there again he'd know she'd returned. Then, she sniffed something by the grass. Strong pinesap... a smell she didn't care to remember... and it was on WindClan territory. It was still fairly fresh, too. "ShadowClan," she growled. She unsheathed her claws, ready to protect her kits. "C'mon, kits, we need to go back and report this to Sagestar."
Lionkit's fur was fluffed out on end as he scented a strong blade of grass. Dustkit had his chest out. "Maybe we'll be made apprentices because of this!" he mewled, and strutted over to his mother.

Specklefur couldn't suppress a purr. "Kits have to be six moons," she reminded them. Dawnkit and Shadowkit looked downcast at that. "But," she added, "that's less than a quarter moon away. Only a few sunrises, in fact." Dawnkit and Shadowkit perked up instantly. Specklefur arrived in camp, heading to Sagestar's den. "Sagestar?" She motioned with her tail for her kits to move along.
Lionkit and Dustkit strutted to a patch of grass in the middle of camp. There, they played with a tuft of mouse fur leftover from a recent meal.

Sagestar lifted her head. "Yes, Specklefur?" she asked, "Come in."

Dawnkit and Shadowkit played rabbit. When Dawnkit caught Shadowkit, she drew blood, causing Shadowkit to yowl. Dawnkit flinched; their mother didn't put up with play-fighting to the point of drawing blood at all. "You're gonna be in trouble," Shadowkit cooed almost happily. "Shut up!" Dawnkit snapped. "Now you're really gonna be in trouble." Shadowkit grinned, smearing blood on the ground.

Specklefur padded in. "I was taking a walk," she explained, "and I caught a weird scent on the wind. I checked it out; ShadowClan's marked at least three tree-lengths of our territory."

Lionkit glanced over. Dustkit took that exact moment to pounce on his brother. His feisty spirit was returning, and he loved to catch his bigger brother off-guard.

Sagestar's eyes narrowed. "Where exactly?" she asked in a tight, angry voice.

Quote: Two balls of fur crashed into Dawnkit's paws. Lionkit rolled out, covered in dust. "A Shadowclan warrior! Get him!" he screeched, pouncing on Dustkit, who looked quite stunned.

A soft hiss escaped Sagestar's teeth. "Thank you Specklefur." she said, and rose from her nest. "I'll take a patrol along that end of the territory and mark that place myself." she nodded and padded out.

Lionkit rolled off his brother and drooped his ears.

Sagestar organized a patrol, with Specklefur on it, and yowled to get moving.
