Quote: (Oh shoot, did Dapplestar call his name? I forgot..)

Shadowpelt's heart hit the floor. His tail dragged on the ground as he went to take his place in his clan's group. He hadn't realized he sat next to Silverstripe.
(Yeah)

Silverstripe had been politely conversing with Mapleshade when she felt a pelt brush against hers. She looked at him, "Oh, hello Shadowpelt." Neither her voice nor her eyes held any of the previous hurt, respect or love, only guarded-ness. (is that even a word lol)
(Oh. Ok. :)
Troutfur glanced around quickly.

(lol!) Shadowpelt looked up and forced a smile. "Hi." he said, his voice dull.
Quietly, Specklefur glanced around, then caught sight of him. Her heart leaped, and she walked around behind him. "Surprise," she whispered, touching his ear with her tail.

Silverstripe gave a short nod, resuming her short chat with Mapleshade, before the WindClan cat went to talk to other cats. "Hey, Raincloud," she greeted her brother's mate when she padded over to her, who had become like a sister to her.

"Hi, Silverstripe. How are you? How's Bramblepelt?"

"I'm good," she nodded, purring at Bramblepelt's name. "He's perfect."

Raincloud purred. "You two are perfect for each other." She ran her tail down Silverstripe's spine in a sisterly fashion, before she heard Stormtail call her. "I'll talk to you later, Silverstripe."

"Bye," she purred, but stopped when she realized it was just her and Shadowpelt now.
Troutfur nearly jumped out of his skin. He bristled his handsome silver coat angrily and turned around to face the cat who surprised him. He started and his ears perked. "Specklfur!" he cried in a soft whisper. He could hardly contain himself. He wanted to lick her face. "Are you alright?!"

Shadowpelt didn't say anything. He was quiet, with his shoulders hunched. His yellow/green eyes were dull.
"Yep," she purred. "I couldn't be better. I'm so glad to be home."

Silverstripe sighed with what almost sounded like impatience, getting up and padding away. "Bramblepelt is a better cat than he'll ever be," she growled to herself under her breath. She didn't know for sure, but she could tell that he was probably thinking about Silverstream.
"I'm so glad you're home!" Troutfur purred, smiling.

Shadowpelt watched her go, his heart hitting the ground. Suddenly he picked up a wonderfully familiar sweet scent. Silverstream. He thought. She came. His heart seemed to pick it'self up and fly.
Specklefur purred. "The kits are about to be apprentices." She said quietly so that no one would hear, but tactfully, so that if anyone overheard they wouldn't suspect anything beyond friendly discussion between Clans. "Can you believe it?"

Calmly, Maplestar's guarded, watchful eyes gazed down at him thoughtfully.
Troutfur got the gist. He calmly curled his bushy tail around his paws. "Kits do grow so fast." he purred.

Shadowpelt's ear twitched, and scented the air deeper. Silverstream was sitting across the clearing, almost as far away from him possible. He grinned. At least she's still alive... and is still allowed to attend gatherings. He thought cheerfully.
"Maybe they'll be-" Specklefur was cut off as Maplestar yowled to start the meeting.

Maplestar's tail flicked critically as she gazed down, her eyes as sharp as tacks and silently daring him to go over to her. Then, she yowled to start. "Sagestar, would you like to start?"
Troutfur turned his eyes up to the leaders.

Sagestar dipped her head. "I am pleased to report that Windclan is doing well. We have four new warriors, and one new apprentice. Owlfur, Smokewhisker, Littlecloud, Duskfur, and Patchpaw." The clans yowled their names. Once they quieted down, she narrowed her eyes and glared at Maplestar. "I am not pleased to report that my patrol has scented a Shadowclan marker on our territory. Across the border." she hissed.

"This isn't gonna end well," Specklefur murmured to him, taking note of Maplestar's sharp eyes.

Maplestar gave her a goading look, before she began her report. "ShadowClan is doing well. We are sad to say that one of our elders and former deputy, Sandfrost, has gone to join StarClan." The Clans murmured a bit below. "However, on a brighter note, we have four new apprentices and a new warrior. Windpaw, Sunpaw, Bristlepaw, Sandpaw, and Nettlespot." The Clan yowled their names, and Maplestar waited until they quieted down. Sorrelstar stepped in before Maplestar could continue, however.

"Our deputy, Spottedleaf, has joined the elder's den." Sorrelstar began, "Darkstripe is our new deputy. We have three new apprentices; Thistlepaw; Brindlepaw; and Skypaw. A new warrior, Graypelt; Maplewind; Leafwhisker; and Bluewhisker. And one of our queens has two strong kits, soon to be apprentices." ThunderClan knew she was stretching the truth about two strong kits; Specklekit, one of the two kits, was particularly sickly. Her blue gaze turned over to Maplestar. "We would also like to say that we've scented ShadowClan on our territory."

"Let's not forget that ThunderClan and WindClan can barely survive leafbare." Maplestar responded to Sorrelstar and Sagestar airily, causing the ThunderClan leader to bristle. "I have discussed this with my deputy. ShadowClan needs more prey. Simple as that."

"Not as much as us," Sorrelstar hissed.

As this happened, clouds began to surround the moon as a warning from StarClan to remain peaceful. Dapplestar cut them off, deciding to give her own report before things got out of hand. "RiverClan does not have much to report, other than we have a new warrior: Honeyleaf." It worked; the Clans yowled the new warriors' name.
