Sandytail stood by the highrock at the crack of dawn, assigning patrols. "I will lead the dawn patrol along with Cedarblaze, Rainpaw, Nightpelt, and Swiftclaw," she meowed.

A pair of golden green eyes appeared from the dark, and along came a sleek, multicoloured she-cat. "Reporting for duty, ma'am," said Cedarblaze, assembling before Sandytail.
 
Sandytail dipped her head to Cedarblaze. "Nightpelt?" She called into the camp.

"He's not awake yet," Rainpaw said, padding alongside Swiftclaw.

Sandytail sighed in exasperation, "alright, well, let's just get on the patrol without him then."

"Lazy furball," Swiftclaw muttered under his breath as he padded after Sandytail to the gorse tunnel.

Cedarblaze blinked, trotting along at the end of the line. She scanned the area carefully, keeping her pace up as well as she could.
 
Sandytail sniffed a tree carefully, her mouth open as she tasted the air. "Kittypets," she growled, the fur along her spine beginning to prickle.

"I can only smell the Thunderpath," Rainpaw meowed.
 
(Whoa, I leave to go to bed, and in the morning my cat has even dubbed a "Lazy fur ball"?? Haha! He is at that..
