Cindersong and Dewfeather padded up and sat at the base of the rock.

Rainstar called up the four kits, Tigerkit, Icekit, Tawnykit, and Mousekit. "Tigerkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Tigerpaw. Your mentor will be Cindersong (if that's okay...). I hope that Cindersong will pass down all she knows to you."

Cindersing waited for Tigerpaw to come forward, smiling like a crazy cat.

"Icekit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed," Rainstar said. "From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Icepaw. Your mentor will be Cloverwhisker. I hope Cloverwhisker will pass down all she knows on to you."

Cloverwhisker stepped forward, and touched noses with Icepaw.

"Mousekit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Mousepaw. Your mentor will be Seasonsun. I hope that Seasonsun will pass down all she knows on to you."

Mousepaw stepped forward to touch noses with Seasonsun.

Sunny searched an area, finding any signs of food anywhere.

In the ShadowClan camp, as the sun was just beginning to peek above the horizon ,cats were just beginning to emerge out of the dens, yawning sleepily. But not Silverpaw. She was wide awake, pacing eagerly around the camp.

The dawn patrol of ShadowClan suddenly burst into their camp, their fur bristling and eyes wild. "DOG!"

In the distance, there was, in fact, a dog, barking.
