Timidly, Mousepaw stepped forward and touched noses with Seasonsun.

In the ShadowClan camp, as the sun was just beginning to peek above the horizon ,cats were just beginning to emerge out of the dens, yawning sleepily. But not Silverpaw. She was wide awake, pacing eagerly around the camp.

Seasonsun smiled at her.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting," Sorrelstar yowled.

Winterstorm padded to the highrock Wolfheart beside her. Crookedpaw limped awkwardly to the highrocl.

Sorrelstar called up the apprentices as she began, "I, Sorrelstar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Blackpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Blackpaw nodded. "I do."

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Blackpaw, from this day forward, you shall be known as Blackcloud. StarClan honors your humility and kindness, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan."

Sorrelstar called up the apprentices as she began, "I, Sorrelstar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. Crookedpaw smiled happily for Blackcloud.
