Owlpaw crouched by the Thunderpath, racing across when the last monster passed. Winding up in ShadowClan territory, she sniffed the air. A scent of rabbit wafted towards her, and she slunk down, dropping into a hunting crouch as she saw one nibbling on some grass. She leaped into the air gracefully, landing on its back and killing it with a swift bite on the back of the neck. She looked around quickly to make sure no ShadowClan cats were around, before she lowered her muzzle to eat. She stopped hesitantly as she remembered what Maplestar had said at the Gathering. But then she thought, I've been doing this ever since I became an apprentice. Why would they catch me now? She smirked as she began to eat the rabbit hungrily.

Specklefur led a hunting patrol, padding by the RiverClan border. She looked around, and she couldn't help feeling a pang of disappointment when she didn't see Troutfur there. Then she shook her head, he's RiverClan, you're WindClan! Get yourself together, Specklefur!

Troutfur marked his scent on a clump of reeds, making sure it smelled strongly of Riverclan before padding to another one. He did this for awhile until he scented Windclan. Bristling, he stalked toward the border, his ears flat.
 
Specklefur watched a rabbit closely as it nibbled on some grass. She made sure it was on the WindClan side of the border before dropping into a hunting crouch; then she leaped and killed it with a swift bite. She dug earth over it to collect it later, before marking a tree.

Poisonpaw was on a hunting patrol when she spotted Specklefur.
