Quote: Dustkit laid down, his tiny eyes narrowed to slits. Lionkit touched his nose to his mother's side, "Momma, how long until Sunhigh?" he asked.
Shadowpelt was on her heels. "The dog is across the Thunderpath." he informed them.
Specklefur looked up at the sky. "A little while," she said, "it's still early morning."
Swiftclaw's fur went down a bit. "Hopefully it won't cross," he muttered, "then WindClan or ThunderClan can deal with it."
Meanwhile, the dog prowled through ThunderClan territory, making its way towards RiverClan.
Lionkit sighed, laying down.
"I hope so." Shadowpelt agreed, his tail still up in the air.
Meanwhile,
Silverstream took her kits out to play. They were almost 6 moons old, and would become apprentices soon. Shadowkit pounced on Ashkit, but just as he was about to make contact, Rainkit rushed in and headbutted his side. She was blind, as something had caused her eyes never to open, but she could fight just as well. "Got you." she snickered. "No fair!" Shadowkit yowled.
Specklefur watched Mapleshade come in through the entrance.
Swiftclaw and the rest of the patrol headed back to camp.
Hailshadow's tail waved as he passed by the kits, and he purred. He remembered when he was a kit, playing with them when they were only a few days old. His ears shot up as he heard a sound in the distance, and he went to see Nightshadow. They both left the entrance to camp, his heart sinking. Please don't be a dog...
Troutfur padded through the reeds, holding a wriggling fish in his jaws. He froze suddenly, as a strange sound echoed through the air. It was unfamiliar, but instantly he knew what it was. A dog.
The dog shot out of the reeds, howling and bawling. Hailshadow and Nightshadow's fur instantly bristled with shock.
