Darkstripe grumbled, turning back to Sunningrocks. He surveyed the area for prey.

Bawling, the dog leaped forwards, straight for Hailshadow. Hailshadow yowled as the dog gripped his neck in his jaws, and flung him in the air.
"NIGHTSHADOW! GET HELP!" Troutfur screeched, lunging at the dog. Fear coursed through his body at what he was doing, but he pushed that aside and attacked.

Terrified, Nightshadow ran back to camp. "EVERYONE! THERE'S A DOG!" She yowled.
Silverstream's head shot up, her pupils dilating. "Kits, in the nursery. NOW." she hissed. Terrified, the kits dashed into the safety of the nursery. "Where is it?" she asked, her fur on end.

"By the river," Nightshadow panted.
"Get the others." Silverstream ordered, before sprinting off.

She skidded to the spot where the dog was. Troutfur was fighting tirelessly with it, but Silverstream could tell he was losing, and fast. Already he had cuts and bruises all over, and blood streamed from his mouth. She flung herself at the large dog, hissing.

The dog let out a howl, snapping wildly at Silverstream. Hailshadow's leg was bent at a crooked angle.

The dog let out a throaty yelp as Cloudbreeze lunged for it, raking her claws across its eyes. Nightstar leaped at its face, and gave its nose a swat with unsheathed claws so hard it nearly took its nose right off.

Hearing the cries of their packmate, four other dogs shot to their feet and began charging towards the scene.


(Also, after this do you want one of your cats to be the RiverClan deputy? I don't think Wintent's coming back...)
