Silverstripe followed him to Fourtrees. Her heart plummeted as a dark thought came to her: What if he's in love with... a cat from another Clan? Please, StarClan, please, you can't be so cruel...

Shadowpelt sat down at the bottom of one of the trees, waiting.

Silverstripe watched to see if a she-cat came.

Specklefur headed to Fourtrees to meet with Troutfur, a spring in her step. Meeting Troutfur was the highlight of her days.

Silverstream padded through the reeds, carrying Rainkit. Ashkit and Shadowkit padded along behind her, their eyes huge with amazement. "Okay kits," Silverstream purred. "You get to meet your daddy today. He's a big strong warrior, and I hope you'll grow upp to be like him someday." Ashkit squealed with excitement. Shadowkit puffed out his chest. "Do you think he'll like us momma?" He asked, kneading his claws. "No, Ashkit, he'll love you." She smiled. Behind her, Shadowkit gasped. "He looks like me, momma!" He mewled, and dashed forward.

Troutfur bounded through the tall reeds, eager to see Specklefur.

DuskPelt slipped silently along the ground, her green eyes locked on the steadily moving form of an injured bird. Having already smacked it out of the air a few minutes ago, it was injured and didn't have long to live. Her green eyes, like individual lamps, seemed to flicker as she went, yearning to kill this bird, for t to be her first victim of the night. After all, it was no ordinary bird: it was a large, fat woodpecker. A red bellied woodpecker. They were a delicacy to her, and more than likely to the rest of the clan, too.

The bird, which had hopped up to the base of a tree, and was now desperately trying to hop up the base of the tree. Dusk slid up on nimbled paws, and pounced on the injured woodpecker, crushing it beneath her front feet. Peering underneath her paws at her victim as it squirmed, she lowered her head to make the kill. Hissing in pain as the bird pecked her soft toes, she bit down, crushing the skull, though the bird had died of shock just seconds before the fatal blow.

Dusk, her prey grasped in her jaw, turned to leave, her tail waving with satisfaction...

Silverstripe's heart shattered into a million pieces when she saw Silverstream and the kits. "Shadowpelt..." she murmured softly, before turning tail and bounding away, tearing through the trees. She loved him so much. How could he?

Specklefur settled down by one of the great oaks, grooming her tail while she waited for Troutfur.

Crowfrost padded through the woods, his jaws open as he tried to sniff out prey.

Dusk, en route for the clan, saw him ahead. Begging StarClan that he wouldn't see her, she crouched in a grassy patch. Being the recluse she was, she naturally hated conversing with other cats.

He dropped into a crouch as he saw the grass rustle. His tail quivered with anticipation, and he pounced, landing on a vole's back. He picked it up in his jaws and glanced around. "My beautiful, Silverstripe..." He murmured to himself, before padding back to camp.

Silverstripe's heart shattered into a million pieces when she saw Silverstream and the kits. "Shadowpelt..." she murmured softly, before turning tail and bounding away, tearing through the trees. She loved him so much. How could he?

Shadowpelt's eyes lit up as he saw his family coming towards him. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a flash if silver. No... not Silverstripe. No... Starclan, please. He begged, then was tackled by his sons.

Troutfur grinned, coming out into the clearing. Gosh, she's so pretty. He thought, and loped up to her.
