Gradually, Silverstripe's broken heart had seemed to heal. But at the same time, she had been acting strange. She jumped at every opportunity to get out of camp, and always seemed distracted. She and Crowfrost had gone their separate ways; as hard as she tried, and as much as she wanted to, she just couldn't have the feelings for him the same way she had once had with Shadowpelt.
"Stupid Thunderclan warrior stepped once too many times over the border." Shadowpelt replied, wincing as he sat down.Maplestar raised her head. A bewildered look came across her face when she saw him. "What happened?"
Shadowpelt nodded, then turned to leave. He padded from the den, and up to the medicine den. "Cloudshade?" He mewed."You should go see Cloudshade," she mewed.
"Do you have anything for scratches?" Shadowpelt asked, smiling slightly.Cloudshade started, looking up from the poultice of herbs she was mixing. "Come in, Shadowpelt."
(I'm assuming that Specklefur and Troutfur are mates now.)
Specklefur raced to Fourtrees, her paws barely touching the ground. She had great news for Troutfur.
