Wart on Eyelid of Older Anatolian Shepherd Dog

Thank you for taking the time to write that. My concern is the Anatolian breed is very sensitive to anesthesia. When her daughters were spayed, they were given half the dose and it still took one of them an entire week to "wake" up. I'd like to try anything else at least once to avoid surgery. My heart horse was put down last year due to complications after surgery.đź’”

I understand so much! I'm always terrified of my horse having to go into surgery and having complications after. I'm so sorry for your loss. :hugs

Where I live we have some old school Veterinarians that have put in their time and I very much respect them. However, it has taken them some time to adapt to the rapid changes of Veterinary Medicine. And unfortunately, a lot of these old timers haven't updated to newer, safer anesthesia!

If you are not comfortable, if surgery doesn't feel right in your heart, don't do it. You are your girl's advocate. Best wishes to you!
