Warts or ???

Is the growth on her skin or at the base of her feathers? Do you see any crawling bugs on the top of her head? Long shot would be you are seeing lice nits. (photo below)

I do see some irritation and scaly/scabby skin above the ear, is that what the lumps look like?

I have checked her head multiple times, have not seen anything crawling. But yes, I think the spot you pointed out is one of them, good catch!

Don't think it is lice, doesn't look like the picture you provided.

Can you tell if there's any ingrown feathers?

Nope, just the head.

Looked this up, you might be on to something.

Didn't get to see how she was yesterday, had to travel, will see again today.

So now this is the only odd one out in my SS flock. She has a new growth that showed up last week but this was just taken a few minutes ago. Looks like she also has scaly/crusty skin in a few places?

She is fine otherwise afaik.

Any clues?

(Eyes are not gray, camera is a bit off I think)

Could be an excessive sebum or scaly face mites or something else???

Cutaneous Marek's also comes to mind.

I'd apply a hydrocortisone cream or try castor oil that is diluted with a carrier oil (almond, jojoba, coconut oil).
