well, i've got one egg in the 'bator right now that has the 'mobile' air cell, but knock on wood, it's developing. granted i'm turning it the minimum i can, and only a couple times a day at that... didn't turn at all the first 2... (oh and incubating upright in an egg crate, so just propping one end of the crate up each time.)
granted it's only on day 3 but i saw a definite heartbeat tonight. tho i'm wondering how well it'll develop, the yolk is right up next to the air cell, and the heartbeat looked to be just under the shell. wish i had a better camera, i would have gotten a pic. it's my marans eggs i'm most concerned about. of the 7 shipped, 2 were smashed to bits, 2 have mobile air cells, the other 3 were mostly ok tho the air cells looked like they'd peeled off the shell a bit but not floating all over. the EE's were almost all like that, and 2 candled alive tonight (only candled 3, and the 3rd i just couldn't tell yet.) and the 2 dorkings (shipped) and 2 bantams (not shipped, my own) also showed signs of life. 8)
so for a first experience with shipped eggs, so far so good.
the only downside, i'm incubating a total of 51 eggs (the 9 worst are in the hatcher turning manually) but the turner holds 42...
so i'm sure by day 7 i'll be able to tell which ones to toss and have room for all the good eggs at once.
