It happens quite a bit, it is called henopause. Hens will run out of estrogen and start making testosterone, quit laying eggs and grow a train.

Dany likes to be cryptic. I assume he is passing along a post he found elsewhere about a hen going through henopause.

Okay. Do they ever resume laying? I've had a few chicken hens adopt male characteristics and still lay, but wasn't sure if peafowl did the same thing
