It happens quite a bit, it is called henopause. Hens will run out of estrogen and start making testosterone, quit laying eggs and grow a train.
Okay. Do they ever resume laying? I've had a few chicken hens adopt male characteristics and still lay, but wasn't sure if peafowl did the same thing
