Anyway now that I'm over the shock of someone being able to sell eggs on CL..........I am the same way. I don't want them coming to my place unless I know them, but we sell our eggs with a road sign, so we get all kinds. I make sure that everyone is aware that we have cameras and a security system. Our neighbor was robbed a few years ago. Their place is above a hill behind our farm and we share a driveway. I get really nervous letting people come into our shed to pick up eggs. They look around at everything. I make sure and point out the security panel and note the cameras, but not where they are placed. It's difficult to trust people now days. It's funny becasue growing up we never even locked the door when we went on vacation.

You can sell your eggs any way you want....If they don't like it they don't have to buy. Especially of you got a creepy vibe.... Let him get eggs from someone else.

That being said I do let people come here to buy eggs and birds. For eggs they let me know what day and how many and the eggs are left in a cooler by the front gate with a bag for money. Yup, we are on the honor system for eggs. Never been stolen or not had my money left for me. Even when I left for free 3 duck eggs for a high schoolers science project the parents still left me a couple of dollars. I thought that was nice of them

The egg buyers do not have access to my yard and would have to come through 3 junk yard dogs to get in. People buying birds are allowed on property after I meet them at the gate.
