We have the ducks and chickens in separate pens and I always feed the ducks first. They are never interested in getting loving so I usually only spend a few minutes with them then go spend time with the chickens. I noticed one of the male Pekins was pacing at their gate so I went back to their pen. Of course they all moved away from me .I sat down and started talking to them. The same male moved closer and quacked, not honky sounding like the girls, but still a quack then started bobbing his head up and down. The boys are guesstimated about 12 weeks and are starting to molt. Was Dandy trying to make me his girlfriend?

My Dandy is a 14 wk old female runner, and lives inside. We have multiple head bobbing conversations daily that last up to 30 minutes sometimes. I've been told it's a sign of affection. (She is an only child, and has a short umbilical cord) She seems to be happy when we have these talks, so I would take it as a compliment.
