Was i scammed?

One of my turkey eggs hatched and it looks like black Spanish? The eggs were sold as being, royal palm, red bourbon, or sweetgrass, but it doesn't look like any of those, anyone have any opinions?View attachment 2767888

Well, if you bought the eggs as the breeds you speak of, maybe a tom got in with the hens and there was a slip in the gene pool. Probably not true, but just a wild theory!

Sadly the chick died but it was expected some of them just don't make it, but another one hatched here's pictures of it and shell if anyone can offer any opinions (6 more eggs left)

I'm thinking this looks a lot more like a breed I ordered than the first one, will post pictures when fluffed out

If your taking them as hatch maybe the die getting chilled

The more I look at what breeds are supposed to look like the more I'm thinking it might be a scam? This doesn't look like a royal Palm or sweetgrass or bournon red it looks closer to heritage bronze and dead one looks like black Spanish, but this is my first time with turkeys, is it possible their colors drastically change or something?

Some more hatched, one more looks black Spanish white looks like royal Palm? Any other ideas only one looks like what I ordered

There's no way black one isn't black Spanish which I didn't order, I think white ones are royal Palm I got no clue on brown /black speckled ones

I don't know anything about turkeys, but I know chicks don't look anything like they do when they grow up. just a thought. Congrats on your littles

Yeah it's alive, it's a weak one, it's only handled because it was hatched by broody hen and brought inside for warmth/keeping an eye on it , I'm hoping it makes it I will post pictures when fluffed out and keep updated on rest of eggs

So, how's the baby? Is it a Tom or jenny?
