When I got these two I was told both are male, the red one looks like female but isn't breeding with the roosters or laying eggs. Could it be a late bloomer rooster?

Are those both ee they look like it? If they are does the golden one have bright red coming thru on shoulders? Can't get close enough in pic. Look for the saddle feathers and compare to the other because that one is certainly a roo

From what I'm told, around 6 months

The red one is a pullet.

Pullet at point of lay - lucky you- the other is definitely a cockerel
